This version has been tested under Windows 95, 95 OSR2.1, 98 first and second edition,
NT 4.0 workstation and server, SP 4, SP5 by using a dial-up networking and an ADSL connection
through TeleSystems PPPoE adapter. However,
the NAT function does not work with Token Ring cards.
If this is the case, you can use a traditional proxy, which is available in all versions. Do not install this version in Windows 2000 and Windows Millennium. Click here to download v3.05/v3.05a.
The NAT feature is available in both Standard and Plus version.
A zero-configuration in any client computer is possible if you also use a DHCP server* (No IP assignment, no DNS and default
Gateway). No need to setup your browser, email software, newsgroup reader, etc....
In the gateway, do the following:
| Description | Download File | Build Number |
Update Date |
| ComSocks Plus (v3.03a)* | 1 | 08/02/00 01:02:04 PM | |
| ComSocks Plus (v3.03a) | 1 | 08/02/00 01:02:04 PM | |
| ComSocks Plus (v3.02a)* | 1 | 07/10/00 10:37:27 AM | |
| ComSocks Plus (v3.02a) | 1 | 07/10/00 10:37:27 AM | |

| ComSocks Standard (v3.02) | 1 | 07/10/00 11:15:13 AM |
*Only the Plus version has a built-in DHCP server. V3.03a has VPN (PPTP) support. For the configuration in the Standard version , please refer to the on-line help.
