Web Browser Proxy Settings

The following information is only necessary if you are using a traditional proxy server. If using NAT, you don’t need to do anything.

Click Edit menu -> select Preferences -> In Category, expand Advanced item -> select proxies -> select Manual proxy configuration on right hand side -> click view button -> enter the IP address of the gateway computer into <HTTP>, <Security>, <FTP>, <Socks> text box and specify <port number> which matches the corresponding proxy port number in ComSocks for this protocol-> leave other text box empty, other port number as 0 -> click OK to close all the dialog boxes. The settings are shown here:

Double-click Internet icon in Windows 95 Control Panel -> in Internet Properties dialog, click Connection tab -> select Connect through a proxy server -> clicking Settings in the Proxy server area -> enter the IP address of the gateway in the <HTTP>, <Secure>, <FTP> and <Socks> text box. Specify <Port number> which matches the proxy port in ComSocks for this protocol-> leave all other text boxes empty -> clicking OK button to close all the dialog boxes. The settings are shown here:
