HTTP, SOCKS, FTP, Telnet, RealAudio Settings
- click Daemons Tab
- highlight the daemon you want to configure, and click Configuration button
- please verify that the proxy IP address of the gateway in your local network (i.g. 192.168.0.1.) appears in the list.
If it is not, you need to remove the old one and add a new one. You can have
multiple PROXY IP : PORT lines if your gateway connects to multiple local
networks (your gateway has multiple network interface cards). Don't use the IP address from the Internet.
- check the proxy port number for the corresponding protocol (HTTP including CERN FTP is 80, SOCKS 1080,
FTP 21, Telnet 23, and RealAudio 1090). ComSocks proxy server will monitor this
port for any Internet connection. If this port is used by other applications,
for example, you may have a HTTP web server running from port 80, please choose
a different port number starting from #5000. Otherwise you will get a Binding Error when you apply
the settings.
- click OK to accept the settings.
- highlight the daemon again and click Enable button to enable the service.
