Eudora Client Configuration

The following information is only necessary if you are using a traditional proxy server. If using NAT, you don’t need to configure these.

from Eudora menu bar, select Tools->Options
in the Category menu , select Getting Started icon
in the Mail Server (Incoming) field, enter your gateway ip or name.
in the Login Name field, enter “user_id” where user_id is your login id in your remote POP3 server.
in the SMTP Server (Outgoing) field, enter your gateway ip or name.
in the Category menu, select Checking Mail icon
in the Mail Server field, enter your gateway ip or name
in the Login Name field, enter “user_id” again
in the Category menu, select Sending Mail icon.
in the SMTP server field, enter your gateway ip
if you have a second mail box in a different mail server, specify your Login Name as “user_id#second_mail_server” (please refer to our on-line FAQ).
