Telnet Client
The following information is only necessary if you are using a traditional
proxy server for telnet. If using NAT, you don’t need to configure these. You will
telnet directly to the Internet.
In a traditional proxy, your client must telnet to the gateway (not to the
remote host). For examples, if ComSocks is running at 192.168.0.1, port 23 for
Telnet, you need to enter command “telnet 192.168.0.1” (default port is 23) or
“telnet 192.168.0.1 23” (explicitly specify the proxy port). Gateway will prompt
you to enter a remote host name. You enter a hostname [: port] (you may
optionally append a remote port number after the host name).
